First Lutheran's Commitment to Sharing the Gospel
The people of First Lutheran are committed to sharing the Gospel with people near and far. We know that God has given us a mission - to share the hope and joy we have because of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as we live our lives on earth. We believe that God has created all people to be in a close, personal relationship with Him and with others around us. Walking daily with God brings strength, patience, and comfort. Knowing that one day we will be in our true home - heaven - to live with our Father forever gives us hope, endurance and joy. All of this, we want to share with others!   We seek to help believers grow closer in their walk with God. That's the "near" part of our commitment to sharing the Gospel. The "far" part of sharing the Gospel involves supporting a missionary overseas, who is telling people about Jesus, helping church leaders grow in knowledge and experience, and developing resources in their language. We have pledged $50,000 over the course of the 5 years to support the work of this missionary. The vision God has given to us, as we serve Him here in the Rice Lake area, is to Bring Hope to Families Through Christ.  We know that God is at work! We can't wait to see what He will do through willing hands and open hearts in Christians here in this area and overseas!
